The Uganda Journalists Association (UJA), welcomes the Constitutional Court decision that has declared several MP Mohammed Nsereko’s impugned draft Computer Mis Use (Amendment) Act – 2022, and section 162 of the Penal Act un constitutional, thus nullifying them.
Several journalists currently battling Court cases arising from that annulled Act’s provisions can now have a breather!
We commend efforts by our colleague journalists under the Alternative Digitalk and several other human rights defenders that have finally come to fruition, from their filed petitions challenging now the invalidated Act provisions.
